Part of Maple Ridge.

The membership platform for community associations, schools and teams. Members join in a minute. Volunteers get their evenings back.

See what's inside

Every community runs on a few people who say yes.

The treasurer matching e-transfers at midnight. The coach chasing waivers in the parking lot. The parent who prints forty report cards on a Friday. They hold the whole thing together, usually with a spreadsheet, two apps and an inbox. PartOf is for them.

One place for everything a community runs on.

Your website, members, payments, events, bookings, newsletter and board papers, all reading from the same member list. On your own domain, with your name on the door.

Memberships

Households, seniors, students, players. Renewal reminders send themselves, and lapsed members don't slip through.

A card that's actually live

Each member's card carries a code that refreshes every two minutes. Scan it at the door of the AGM or the skating party.

Bookings

Halls, rinks and rooms in half-hour slots. Deposits, rental agreements, and a door code emailed to the renter the morning of.

Events

RSVPs, waivers, ticketing and check-in, with a newsletter opt-in on every form.

Volunteers

Sign-ups for every shift, hours that add up on their own, and a free membership when someone hits your threshold.

The board

Minutes drafted from the meeting recording, decisions on record, action items that follow people until they're done.

Part of the neighbourhood.

For community associations, from a 200-household block club to a hall with a rink and a casino every two years.

  • Household memberships with renewals that run themselves
  • Hall and rink bookings with deposits and door codes
  • Donations, sponsors and QR signs for the playground fund
  • Board minutes, decisions and Alberta casino licence tracking

Part of the school.

For Saturday, heritage-language and weekend schools that run on a board, a principal and a lot of goodwill.

  • Online registration with a waitlist, discounts and refunds
  • Classes, attendance, gradebook and report cards
  • A family portal in English and the language you teach
  • Teacher contracts, police checks, timesheets, payroll and T4s

Part of the team.

For local clubs and leagues. Now in early access, with the first clubs setting up this winter.

  • Player registration and season fees
  • Waivers signed on a phone, kept with the player
  • Rosters, schedules and who's coming Saturday
  • Volunteer duties, right down to the oranges

Yours. Not rented.

When a Calgary association we work with left its old membership app, the export came back with join dates and not one expiry date. Dozens of households had to be asked when they'd last paid. So PartOf is built the other way around.

PartOf isn't a prototype. It grew out of systems that run every day at a Calgary community association with more than 200 member households, and a Saturday heritage-language school with 22 teachers.

One price a year. Nothing off the top.

Card processing is Stripe's standard rate, paid to Stripe. Prices in Canadian dollars, plus GST.

Community

$990a year

Associations and clubs without a facility.

Website, memberships, live cards, events, newsletter, donations.

School

$2,400a year

Saturday, heritage-language and weekend schools.

Registration, classes, report cards, family portal, staff and the board.

Payroll for paid teachers and staff, with CRA tax tables, cheques and T4s: $1,200 a year.

Setup, including moving your members over: $1,500 once. A City of Calgary or Alberta grant usually covers it, and we'll help with the application.

Questions boards ask us.

Do we need a tech person on the board?

No. We set it up, move your members over and show whoever runs memberships how it works. After that it's as easy as sending an email.

Can we move from Communal, Wild Apricot or a spreadsheet?

Yes. We bring over members, households and expiry dates. Where the old system didn't export something, we agree on a fair rule with you and tell every member it affects, instead of guessing quietly.

Can a grant pay for this?

Often. The City of Calgary's Inspiring Neighbourhoods Grant and Alberta's Community Initiatives Program both cover software and website costs. We'll help with the application.

Where does the money go?

Into your own Stripe account, then your bank. PartOf never holds your money and never takes a percentage.

What if PartOf shuts down?

You can export everything at any time, and our agreement gives you the source code, so your site keeps running.

Who's behind it?

PartOf is made in Calgary by OxOne Consulting Inc. Chen, who built it, sits on a Calgary community association board, so it's made for people doing this on evenings and weekends.
