Registration and fees
Families register online for the year, with discounts, a waitlist when classes fill, and refunds handled in the same place. Payments land in your school's own Stripe account.
Registration, classes, report cards, a family portal and teacher payroll in one place. Built with a Saturday heritage-language school that has 22 teachers and no paid office staff.
A weekend school is a whole school, run in a few evenings a week.
Registration is a Google Form. Fees come in by e-transfer and someone matches them to a spreadsheet. Class lists live in a shared drive, report cards are a Word template, parents are in three group chats, and payroll is a spreadsheet one volunteer understands.
General membership apps don't cover classes, report cards or teacher pay. School platforms are built for K–12 districts with IT staff. PartOf sits in between: the administration a heritage-language or Saturday school actually does, set up for you, and run by the principal, the registrar and the treasurer without a manual.
These features run every Saturday at a heritage-language school in Calgary. We set them up for your school, with your classes, fees and report card format.

Class lists by room and teacher, attendance taken on a phone in a few taps, and a gradebook that keeps each term's marks together.
Weighted marks per term turn into a printable report card in your format, ready for the last Saturday of term.
Parents see their own children's classes, report cards and messages, in English and the language you teach. A privacy wall keeps one family from ever seeing another's details.
Teacher contracts with e-signatures, police check tracking, duties, timesheets that teachers submit monthly, and a resource library for lesson materials up to 500 MB per file.
Approved hours flow into pay runs calculated with the CRA's T4127 payroll formulas. Print cheques, then generate T4 slips and the XML file for filing at year end.
Open houses, performances and school events with RSVPs, plus score sheets for school competitions like reading contests.
Most weekend schools are run by a volunteer board. Minutes drafted from the meeting recording, a decisions register and action items keep it moving between AGMs.
Teachers send questions to a help desk instead of the principal's personal phone, and staff have their own chat rooms.
Made for schools that run on goodwill.
Heritage-language schools keep languages alive across generations, usually on rented classroom space and volunteer hours. PartOf was built alongside one: its principal, registrar, treasurer and 22 teachers use it every week, and their feedback shaped the teacher guide and the phone screens.
If your school is a member of a regional heritage-language association, such as SAHLA in southern Alberta or IHLA in Edmonton, you already know how much of the work is administration. That's the part we take on.
Schools incorporated as societies can also use the board tools, the casino licence tracker and the volunteer ledger that our community association customers use.
Canadian dollars, plus GST. Card processing is Stripe's standard rate, paid to Stripe. PartOf takes nothing from your tuition.

Yes, that's where most weekend schools start. We import last year's families and students, then families register and pay online for the new year. Payments go to your school's own Stripe account. You can still record cash, cheques and e-transfers by hand for families who prefer them.
Yes. The portal and messages run in English plus the language you teach, so parents can read notices in whichever they're more comfortable with.
Yes, as a $1,200-a-year add-on. Teacher hours feed pay runs calculated with the CRA's T4127 payroll formulas, cheques can be printed on your own cheque stock, and year-end T4 slips and the XML file for filing are generated. Your treasurer still approves every pay run.
Unpaid teachers and helpers can be marked as volunteers. They still get a login, class lists and attendance, and they stay off the pay run.
No. PartOf runs the school's administration: registration, classes, attendance, grades, report cards, families and staff. Lesson resources up to 500 MB can live in PartOf, but if your teachers like their current teaching tools, they can keep them.
Each school has its own database. Access is by role, so a teacher sees their own classes, a parent sees their own children, and only the people you choose see the whole school. We re-run an automated privacy test across those roles whenever the system changes.
Tell us your community's name and we'll set up a 20-minute call. We do the setup and move your members over.
